So this is some type of clay fired and overlaid in a glaze? Beautifully done... how did you save it from cracking?

Thanks. I took a hell of a lot of pictures trying to show how this one actually looked. I think this one does it some justice. It is bitter sweet to me that it is only the photos of my sculptures that some many every see.

she is so tragically lovely..I love the contrast between the soft tones of the sculpture and the starkness of the band about her eyes, it is very striking and truly beautiful

Interesting, I'd have never guessed ceramics. With that glaze, it has a much more natural stone look to it. Very beautiful work. I could only imagine how much time and effort you put into this.

I think the reason this piece is so effective is the fact that its multimedia. The statue is beautiful, but the wires and blindfold are what really do it for me. Great job!

Great mixing of your medias! I recognize that steel tie wire anywhere since I used it tons on foundations tying up steel rebar with it. It sure looks like the stuff and even rusts the same way over time. Looks awsesome with the ceramic sculpt!
