That is a really, reallyΒ long hilt. it's like 2/3s as long as the blade.

Lol! yeah, I noticed that once I completed it. I debated making the sword longer to compensate.

Well, the size of the sword is often determined by the weight of the hilt and the strength of the wielder. Can you use a claymore for a full day? Probably not. Can you wield a dagger with a 2ft. hilt? Also difficult. Can you wield a sword with a 2ft. hilt and a 3-4ft. blade? Probably a lot easier than the other two, as long as it's balanced properly.

It doesn't have to be perfect, but it appears that the easiest correction would be taking the blade and just using some sort of editing software to stretch it.
