I hate skunks, my brother and I found one dead once. It must've let off it's stink defenses at the last second or something cause that thing smelled WORSE than anything we had ever smelt before! Going near it tickled your nose so bad that it'd go straight down to your gag refelex and you'd practically be throwing up! We spent two hours trying to get that thing as far away from the property as possible - you could smell it from two blocks away!

I'd rather smelled gasoline and burnt hair than skunk's funk and death... it was my brother's idea. Why we never thought of burying it is still beyond me. XD

None of us wanted to touch it; the smell, the maggots, all those flies... why waste your time digging a hole for it when you can just pour some gas on it, light a match and watch it go up in flames? The smell almost completely went away as soon as it was lit...

Maggots are probably the most disgusting creatures in this world. But the one thing worse than maggots are the carrion beetles. that's what we get over here... they're really cool looking, but you never want to touch one. They're kinda like those scarabs from The Scorpion King, except they don't dig into your skin while you're still alive, just when you're dead. lol

Carrion beetles are pretty coolio. I heard that they're are endangered. I saw one rolling a dead mouse up a hill at my house once. We caught the nasty bugger.

Hehe! I know which one you're talking about, the Nicrophorus Americanus. The American burying beetle...[link] which is exactly what we have up here. I dare not touch one cause I know where they've been, not to mention the fact that the last time I saw one and touched it, I got incredibly sick... Funny, if they're so endangered how come I see them all the time? XD
