"Will you teach me? Please?"

X looked down at the small esk that had sought them out. He was a curious thing, but the fragments that had floated around him had fascinated them. It was always a pleasure to meet one who had been transformed by something the humans had made and see their view on the world. The Wanderer had shown their elemental in return, watching the wonder in the esk's eyes as the molten glass moved around them. The esk had not been put off by the oddness of their voice and had listened closely as they told some of their story and, he – in turn – told them of his creation, his memories and experiences with an enthusiasm that reminded them of the human children that run through the streets.

Now those awe-filled eyes looked up at them, still starstruck but determined to learn the element that they weilded. He wanted to learn.

And he wanted them to teach him.
