I actually really loved that ending. It's not overly dramatic, it's just truthful. Is the thudding of a heart's rapid beat? It seems like desperation and frustration are the overlying themes.

wow, um, you're awesome. that's exactly it. it is the rapid beating of a heart because as I messaged him, my heart raced because I was so afraid of the outcome - probably because I knew he just wouldn't respond. and I suppose it is truthful, but the truth can be dramatic.

and you nailed the overlying themes right on the head. I don't want to admit it, but desperation was definitely present in this moment and frustration for obvious reasons XP

YEAH!! and I don't know why he's ignoring me! I haven't done anything! first of all, I'd feel guilty if I had done something, even if I didn't remember it. and second of all, I thought and I've thought, long and hard, about this and I've come up with NOTHING that I could possibly have done to deserve this! soon enough, I'm just gonna go over there and yell at him in person!
