Description Well; as it turns out I have to give my originally planned Fire Emblem game a temporary hiatus due to some small technical issues. So in the meantime I'm working on a practice one that doesn't have quite as grandiose a scope as the other one.
So, without further ado, I introduce you to my new side project; Zelda Tactics.
I plan to release each of the characters in sets of 3, this being the first of which.
Obviously this one is Link.
In any case, this may or may not be the final version. If you pay attention to the sprite's sleeves compared to the portrait's you'll notice that they're different colors (white and brown respectively).
Originally I was planning to have Link pretty much identical to his ALTTP/LA artstyle, as evidenced by the portrait. However, when doing the sprite I ran into some color limitations due to Link wielding a metal sword and shield. If I gave him brown sleeves then his sword and shield would change colors accordingly, and I may not be able to fix the portrait's own brown sleeves to fit the sprite's white ones, also due to the same color limitations.
So, as you can see, I'm at a little bit of a standstill with this guy.

I absolutely love those battle sprites - great attention to detail. However, the outline of his hair on the face sprite looks a bit odd in places, as does the shading and highlighting at the top of the head. Looking at the ALTTP art, it looks like the front of his hair curls back a bit more, which might also solve the outline problem. The strand of hair above his eye has somewhat of an unnatural wave, but this isn't particularly noticeable.

I really like his hat for some odd reason.
