Okay I'm going to record bits of the idea behind this here now...

In this world people are all driven to act by their emotions. Emotions are messy and irrational and often lead to people interacting with each other in ways that often lead to miscommunication and confusion. On the other hand emotions also pull the best out of people. Finding courage to go on, sharing love between two people, fiery determination fueling grand progress.

All of these strong emotions soak into the earth, forming structures made out of emotional energy called "humor". Together they form the Pathoscape. A plane that intersects with ours on infinitely many points.

Some have a special gift to enter into the Pathoscape and can create pathways for emotions to flow. These people are called Channelers. They have the ability to create or deconstruct emotions, manifesting tools called 'Eustras' to help them direct the humors to purify the emotions of a location, or even influence the emotions of an individual.

So now that much of the exposition is done, what's the deal with these three?

The cat in the middle is Victor "Vex" Kholer. He is 17 years old, and goes to High School, but he mostly gets into fights with people. He has issues controlling his anger and will often find an excuse to get into a fight for an almost necessary need to "blow off steam".

When he discovers he is a channeler, he is able to manifest his Eustra in the Pathoscape as a large sword that he calls Ares' Fury and it is a channel for anger.

The lizard on the left is Griff Sable. He is 16 years old, goes to High School. Normal guy but very quiet. He's an orphan, currently. His grandmother cares for him, but she's ailing. He is known as "Grim" to his classmates, as being around him can make people depressed.

He is discovered as a channeler by Vex shortly after he discovers his own powers. As such he becomes his de facto 'mentor' though he doesn't want to be. His Eustra is a staff that commands feelings of sorrow, which Vex calls the Gloomstick. And Griff kind of accepts that.

The otter to the right is Mason Wainwright. He only goes to the school as cover for his work as a channeler. He appears to be 19 but a lot of details about him are mysterious. He answers to a higher power that he refers to as the Director. He's been a channeler for 2 years before he discovers Vex. Even so, he is not very powerful.

His Eustra is named "Euterpe's Harp". He is able to use it to instill or remove Motivation in other people. Though that emotion is the most difficult to manipulate.

And that's that. The rest of the details are on a notepad that I will lock away until I actually have the skill and time to actually work on it.
