Additional Info:Full name: Minnamae Svalri
Species: Tfalri LOL don't ask me how to pronounce that!
Personality: Minna comes across as cold and calm. She is rather pessimistic, and has a dry, cynical sense of humour. Below the surface however, she is deeply loyal and caring, often very melancholy. She also has a lot of guilt and self hate riding on her.
Quick bio: Minna has an almost magnetic attraction to fire - she is fascinated by it. She was outcast from her tribe at a young age, for causing a forest fire which killed two children and an adult Tfalri. Her horn was cut off to mark her status, and she had to leave her name and family behind (which is why she goes by Minna, which is a nickname). Rather than stay on the island with the rest of her kind, she swam to the mainland, where she became friends with a human.

Yes, that is her full name. She goes by Minna though. Also, there is quite a difference between the Minna i use to represent me, and the Minna who has a story, since our personalities are not very similar. XD I'm not nearly as pessimistic!

I do. You see, the wings must have some sort of use unless they gave them up for some other advantage. I think that,since they don't fly with those wings, they would either use them for intimidation or to show off, in which case bigger would be better interms of making them look larger ( if they were to be used for intimidation. ) and they could have more colors on the wings.

Honestly, I think you are completely right! To be frank, Minna is the way she is because i like to draw her that way (she originally had proper wings, but they're a pain XD) BUT the logic i use to support it is: a) she's female - the males would have bigger brighter wings and b)her species has effectively de-evolved from having fully functional wings to having these wing-stubs, as wings are no use to them in their current environment. They use them much like a dog uses its tail, for signalling emotion and dominance and such.
I know it's a little silly, but what do you think? I just felt like i should justify them or something

It makes sense that the females would have smaller wings but the abillitty to fly could be invaluable for things such as escaping fires, being able to fly over terain they couldn't with just legs and its not just the males that would use them for intimidation ( and when I first mentioned intimidation I didn't just mean for getting females. Intimidation is also used to scare off things that would like to eat you! ) Also, depending on how the wings are configured, flying would take up less energy and would be a faster form of travel not to mention that most creatures look at the ground for preadatores, not the sky. By the way, what inviorment do they live in?

hmm they live in alpine jungle and forest...so yes flight would be handy. Oh i know what you meant by intimidation, only since they're a large predator, that wouldn't be as necessary. I don't really know what they'd need to intimidate :V
They also share a habitat with Gryphons, so the flying niche is already occupied. They wouldn't really be able to compete with the gryphons, so it's more practical for them to live on the ground. But you're right on all those points certainly! Wow, i've never thought about it like this XD

Lol. It does make sense. I think that they mite need to intimidate griffs. Why? Because why catch food when you can steal it? (Unless all griffins are nise and civillized) But it is your world and your species!

Awww Minna! Wow, her personality is a lot more pessimistic than the one that I'd imagined XD I love how you did the eyes at the top. THey have just so much depth to them. And Minna hersolf is really so interesting. Most OC's on DA have some other creatures that look similar to them, but I've never seen anything at all like Minna, she's defenitely pretty high on that uniqueness scale.

hehe yes i guess it would be XP And i enjoy drawing happy minna too much any way, sooo... I think there's quite a distinction between the Minna i draw and the Minna who has a story XD Mostly i just use her to represent me.
The funny thing is, i created Minna so long ago, i wasn't even trying to be unique! Originally she was a dog/bird/snake hybrid (not to mention rainbow!), and then i just changed her so that she was more me, and better to draw, and more realistic... and this happened ^^ Which makes me happy! I'm glad you think she's original, that's not an easy claim these days

Thats quite a weird difference. Have you ever considered seperating her into two characters? Either way she's awesome. And I meant it 100% about the originality bit. Which as you say, is a nigh impossible claim these days.
