I wish I could take better photos. It is soo darned blurry and you cannot see the detail here and as much as I mess with the colors they still don't look correct on here. The yellows are too blaring, the reds too..something...anyway.. and I had to crop parts...argh!40x30 oil on stretched canvas. I just sat down and painted with nothing really in mind. I have been noticing a lot of crows lately and we had some going nuts in the woods a couple of weeks ago. I guess this is where that came from.

It is tough to take a good photo showing the details and right colors of an actual painting (I went though the same thing with one of mine, so now I know what you have to go through!) But, the painting is great (that particular crow in the front looks so good) and so are your painting skills.

Thank you. I need to take it outside in natural lighting and see if that is better. I have an older camera that is really better but uses film. I guess you can still buy real film...?

Natural lighting might be better. I haven't taken enough photos of paintings indoor and out to compare. Yep! You can still buy real film. I see them being sold at photo centers.

No, I haven't thought about it. It is such a cool camera though. Takes great pictures.

I watch crows too. They're getting ready to leave for the winter and I won't see them again until early spring. You're showing a few sides of crows in this painting. They really are beautiful flyers. The crow in front is very formidable and intelligent looking. The whole composition (I'm guessing at the cropped bits) is strong and elegant. Nicely done!

Thank you. Yes, the one in front is the most detailed but the others you can't see any with my photography abilities. I do love them. I knew someone that had a pet crow.
