The only thing I can find wrong with it (And I've been cracking down on myself with this, after my Stasis project) is the hubcaps... Ambience and specularity, I think would have provided a cleaner look, instead of reflecting grittyness.
Other than that, it's fricken' awesomeness!

Love the presentation, really interesting. Your drawing skills are pretty good if you ask me, I just can't get the hang of the third dimension on paper.
Mh... if you can move the engine back a bit you might be able to do some sort of push together seats... uh, I mean that the seat seems to be for one person only, but in case of an emergency you can move the driver seat a bit forward and seperate it from a passenger seat, which usually fits behind the drivers seat. Might be a bit uncomfortable, but could be useful at times. And when not needed you have more storage space (a bit hard to access maybe, though).
Ps: Where is the fuel supposed to be?
PPs: I think this concept would be interesting for Tesla Motors. The next car they want to produce is a sports sedan, but I think this thing is lightweight enough to be interesting.

Haha
Yeah, that's what I thought. Something like an emergency seat. It would be pretty uncomfortable, and ladies shouldn't wear skirts, but after having sat in Japanese cars from the early 90s I think that's acceptable... the Colt and the Civic seemed to be ridiculously small in the back (was pretty painful after a while), and I'm pretty small. If they can do that I think it's perfectly ok in something sporty.
Yeah, keeping weight low makes sense, and from a security point of view it should be somewhere where it wouldn't be crushed easily, so the middle looks like a good idea.
Tesla is making electro cars, but from a drivers point of view, not a greenpeace point of view. So the design is by Lotus, the handling too, etc. and the performance rivals Ferrari, Porsche, ... The next car they want to work on is supposed to rival the BMW 5 series (hopefully not in the design department ).
Good luck with your presentation, is this your final work?

Isn't there space for the legs? Somewhere between the headlights I suppose. Although when crashing it into... well, anything, I wouldn't want to sit inside. There is no absortion zone at all.
