Naive and curious, Yves is often seen staring with a bemused expression at whatever piques his curiosity. Unashamed to admit when he knows nothing, he tends to ask a lot of questions and is usually rather quickly berated for his apparent stupidity. He wouldn’t say such an observation is wholly incorrect, but he thinks his intellect is not without its merits.

History:
Having been turned rather recently, Yves has no magnificent story of who he was or where he’s been. He knows he was born in France to a middle class family; he knows he had a sister, and that his father was never around... He knows he spent most nights on the roof of their house, staring up at the sky and thinking... he knows that thats how it happened. He doesnt remember it well, but someone found him on the roof one night. He remembers a conversation about all the things he would never know. How short life was and how infinite the universe is... and then he woke up.

Confused and in a place he'd never seen before, with the memory of his old life slowly fading, he asked the only question he could: What happened?

The confusion never stopped; every day he asked more and more questions. Where was he, What was he, How come it had to be this way, Were there alternatives, Why wasn’t anyone looking into them? People got the idea he was going to be some kind of defector, but in reality he just… really wanted to know! There was so much going unasked! Or maybe just unanswered.
He supposed if humans had the answers; maybe he would defect. But all he’d ever heard was that the humans outside would likely try to kill him on sight… so he supposed they weren’t exactly looking for solutions other than death.
His curiosity about humans continued to grow, however, and soon he found himself hanging around the livestock more and more. Asking them what they remembered of home and how life used to be. Most of them cried, which was a pity, but some had stories. Not entirely good ones, but it was a start.
Before he could learn any more he got into trouble for fraternising and was transferred to a different city with specific orders that he not spend any time near the captive humans.
