By default, Ethan appears to be a quiet, but a kind and knowledgeable individual, gifted with abilities to express his knowledge through illusions. Laid-back, he is relatively okay with anything and often would go with the flow, but his mind will wander off when his interest is no longer present, especially when in subjects that are not of his interest. Its also hard to read or tell what are his exact thoughts, since they're often mismatched, but often enough he is very generous with his smile, and very attentive to whoever he holds a conversation with.
He is very studious, and has great memory to come with it and is often expressive in terms of knowledge, and often welcomes people if they are in need for a good story, history, or lore, and he also listens in return. Sharing stories has become his lifetime career, meeting new people and exchanging stories has also been something he has grown accustomed to for the past first century of his life, which he learned a whole deal alot from.
Sharp-witted and crafty, he is often able to get himself out of situations if needed, since his occupation may or may not have put him into pinch situations. Being a pacifist and a person who does not like to deal with fights, he can easily defend himself by confusing the other with illusions, and often enough he would also disguise as another. (works more with people who are not magically sharp as him (hint : lower tiers) He is very reliant to his abilities to make illusions as an escape route to make up for his lack of physical power and ability to fight.
He is not very honest, a relatively difficult task for him due to the deceptive nature of his and profession, so it often raises questions to many encounters whether he can or cannot be trusted. Keeping an eyeful distance from everyone, he also finds it hard to trust another, and he is quite cautious about it. Due to him being overly cautious, it makes him very hard to get to know.
Quietly jealous, he often shows slight envy to deep jealousy towards people (and happy families). Despite being a person who generally likes to give good impression to people, he can get carried away with passive aggressiveness. He has more than many ways to express his displeasure through passive aggressiveness, like what may be a compliment may seem pleasant and warm but actually disguising a cheap gibe.
History:

Born in Iadlain along with his younger brother, his parents were both dark elves, and his life has been surprisingly pleasant despite being being on the more less fortunate in circumstances where his parent's work as more of the important contributors to their society, they were often not home and somehow he felt a sense of abandonment but he lived a particularly quiet life there, blessed with opportunities to learn about his home.
His parents grew less and less present in their lives as time passed by and soon there was nothing left, as if his parents had ceased to exist. He never heard from them nor had even had the chance to look for them, due to the fact he was still too young to leave his home. As time passed, small resentments started to surface, a resentment he had for his parents that abandoned their responsibilities, and by that time Ethan himself had already grew independent and was able to take care of himself and his younger brother, taking the role of being the parent for his younger brother instead.
The interest he had for stories and illusions came from his grandmother, a talented enchanter and storyteller that resided in Iadlain. She was able to fabricate such realistic realities that was almost good enough to deceive the eye. The abilities was not misused however, as her grandmother only cast such eye-catching illusions to assist her storytelling. His grandmother did more than anything a parents should, and he loved her very much and due to her long life and lifetime experience he was able to learn plenty about history, lores and his roots. As time passed, his grandmother got older and very much sickly, and he took over her role and told stories in her stead, especially to pass time and to share knowledge.
By the time his grandmother passed away, he found that the knowledge he craves for was no longer there, and it was time for him to leave his home. He was already a successing practitioner of illusions at that time, and the first place he traveled to was towards Reluir, where he increased his knowledge about the legacy of Atros, and history. There was where he got a grimoire with a magically infused gem. It was a gift from a dear friend to enhance his magic. It became his most treasured journal and something he carries around everywhere without fail. The stories he tells are fabricated and stored inside the grimoire, and also a source to his magic. His magic are basically more powerful with the grimoire, but he can do just a great deal without it.
After all his experience dealing with various people from different background, he did not walk into the outside world unarmed. He always knew about the dark side of humanity, and became quite accustomed to it through observing, and sometimes through experience itself ; he knows when to step in and when to step away from certain situations, and for certain not to make any close relationship with everyone, as much as he loves interacting and learning about the other, he never says much about himself, and by the end of the day he could have given you very little about himself, but walk away with all your secrets. As he perfected his class as an Illusionist, now full-fledged, he travels around Koben sharing and exchanging stories to whoever that would listen, and occasionally took on jobs on selling information just to gain a small but fruitful side income. In the lights of the recent events, "Event 11 - Possession ", his allegiance to Iadlain has been compromised by AA: Phearel Hadreth , a companion he build trust upon during his time there in Reluir, as his motive of being there is to gather information regarding Reluir activities. Whilst in the midst of the Soldier Hunt, he came across a familiar face, a young thief who once stole from him. Forcing an option of life and death unto her, he took her in in the end. She was now renamed as Eibhlin and would be a puppet for his plans. Phearel later attacked him and barely managed to graze his neck before he incapacitated her with his crippling illusions. Getting away was one thing, but the poisons seeping in was another problem which later was saved just barely by the clueless AA: Iarlaith O Ciardha that was unaware of what happened. Some time after, the thief confronted him to ask for the truth during AA: southern lights . Lately, he and Eibhlin were present in the mission in dispeling the giant shadow Reluir casted upon them.
