PERSONALITY

Apathetic, lazy, and depressed, Nova is a half-ghost in a town full of pure humans. She often scares people off whenever they see her, and has little to no actual friends to call her own. As such, she's rather lonely and horrible at social interaction. She tends to blame herself for the problems she comes across in the world, due to her being so abnormal compared to those around her, and thinks she ruins things because of it. She's extremely dependant on her few actual friends, usually clinging to them and staying around them as much as possible. She may be seen as a bit manipulative, as she does have a tendency to convince people she's with into letting her stay at their homes, since she has none. She is easily bored by everything around her, even herself. Perhaps it's because of her limited amount of colors she's able to see making things just look tiring to her, she doesn't know. She can commonly be found alone in a corner, pondering on life and her inevitability of potentially haunting the world forever. Though... When she's even a little bit happier, it's usually when she's playing around with her ghostly abilities.

Invisibility - One of her favorite abilities, she can turn invisible whenever she pleases

Phasing through inanimate objects - She can pass through inanimate objects like walls

Dream manipulation - She can manipulate dreams, turning nightmares into sweet dreams and vice versa

Legs - She can shift between her ghostly lower half and human legs (Though she automatically goes into her ghostly lower half when using her ghostly powers)

BACKSTORY

Nova was born from an affair between her human mother and ghost father. The strain of giving birth to a ghost's baby caused her mother to die, so her single father raised her. They lived together in an old, abandoned mansion, and her father homeschooled her for most of her life. Her childhood was good, if not weird, though... She started to notice something about her father. He seemed to slowly be fading away. Eventually, she questioned him about it. He admitted to her that he truly had no reason to stay on earth haunting it any longer. He had become a ghost so he could find a loving wife and have a child with her, Nova being that child. The only reason he had been staying was because he was bluffing to himself, giving himself pointless things he needed to finish so to stay with her. After mentioning this, he finally faded away, and the mansion he had been supporting crumbled. Now homeless, she left to find a new place to stay. Eventually, she found a girl she quite liked. She started following the girl, staying invisible while she was around her so as not to cause any problems, and only really making her presence known when she noticed the girl having nightmares that she would turn into good dreams. After a lot of silently watching her, she realized that she had feelings for the girl. She started working up the courage to show herself and admit her feelings to the girl... But she was too late. The day she planned to, the girl came home with a boy, who turned out to be her boyfriend. She was jealous and saddened, and out of her emotions, she made her presence and story known to the girl. The girl was terrified, and ended up pushing Nova out of her life completely. This was the final straw to her, and she finally just cracked from the pressure of losing her father, her home, and her love, and started crying. She just cried and cried and cried, for weeks and weeks on end. It took a while before she finally got all her sadness out of her, but when she did, she decided to start anew with her life. Albeit, she was much sadder and colder, but she still felt like trying. So try she did.
