Josei mangas are so underrated. They're so much more varied in terms of story and characterization. Shoujos can get tiresome after a while but josei mangas are such a mixed bag, you can't get bored. Plus, they're usually smutty!
I'm pretty much a novice in reading josei (I started a few months back and currently read 7-8 josei mangas) and I particularly like Ohmi Tomu's works, which have elements of the supernatural + oodles of romance and sex. And the art is gorgeous! Just take a gander at Kaoruko above. She has a witch's power locked up inside her and it makes her super attractive to everything. Also, the power tends to get out of Kaoruko's control... so how to make her calm down and take charge? Enter mysterious (and stunningly handsome) guardian Kaname, only whose kisses can make Kaoruko reign in her powers.

Ohmi Tomu's stories are fascinating and I'm eagerly anticipating the next chapter of 'Majo no Biyaku'; sadly the english scans are way behind. Give her 'Midnight Secretary' a chance... you won't regret it. Other Josei staples are the works of Yazawa Ai of Nana fame, Hapi Mari and Dear Brother and my personal favourite Dear, Only You Don't Know!
