Even more so than your picture of Elizabeth, this one also challenges what's become a stereotype that has blotted out all other conceptions of Catherine from the popular conciousness in which we are told to think of her as middle-aged (and looking older), frumpy and dour, dressed in earth tones, and not unattractive inasmuchas she is ugly. Your Catherine is not the most beautiful woman in the world, but this is a beautiful picture of an attractive and pretty woman, and — what do you know? — there's no horse in sight. Catherine was a very significant figure in European history and it's very unfortunate that popular culture has chosen to view her as it has (or Elizabeth, for that matter). On the opposite side of the spectrum we have Joan d'Arc and Cleopatra who are fetishized to an outrageous degree. Who are the realistic and authentic, powerful and influential women left in the middle?
Great work here. Keep at it.

Exactly! I'm wanting to do one of Marie Antoinette, who everyone sees as this flip, airheaded lover of shoes and macaroons and of course the stupid let them eat cake line. And while she was a very carefree youth, her later years proved her strength as a mother and queen. I would love to see a modern movie that actually tells her whole story, not just the pretty carefree beginning.
