I love the art style and the characters are pretty cool. My only hang up is Cheetara (or however you spell it). I am all for her and Tygra being together, that's pretty close to canon for the old series too, and they have an adorable backstory in this version. I just am annoyed that the writers of this version decided to feed into that dumb drama that is a love triangle. Cheetara is a pretty smart and perceptive character in this series, so I don't understand why she suddenly becomes so freaking oblivious to how flirtatious her behavior with Lion-O is. Seriously, she practically hangs all over him and then we are expected to believe that she had no idea he was getting the wrong impression? That seems so out of character after how awesome they built her up to be.

Yeah, I actually didnt like the love triangle thing either. I mean, I do like a lot the love triangle drama, but only if the writers or author is going to get some interesting development for the characters and no the typical competitive drama where everything is about just winning the girl/boy first, you know?
I dunno, as much as I love the "love triangle" drama, when its not productive at all for the plot, well, it get to the point it starts to annoy me a quite LOT.
Actually, I was kind of dissapointed when the whole thing of "your brother is going to beeetraaay yoouu~" prophecy type of thing was, almost, all just about the love triangle. Like, yeah! Tygra/Cheetara is totally a cute and lovely OTP, but... srsly, thats the type of "bretayal" you were talking about? But oh well...

What bugs me was the rivalry between them could have been avoided if the people around them hadn't made such stupid, stupid choices. Why exactly did Lion-o and Tygra's mom HAVE to stopped calling Tygra her little prince? I know that is a small thing, but Tygra took notice that suddenly she had changed her view on him and that she had done so because of Lion-O. Since when does having a baby mean you must change the amount of affection you show your child? And the whole "Tygra lost the throne when his brother was born" was pointless to me. Uh, hello, his father is the highly respected King. You mean to tell me that no King in history has ever made a move to change archaic laws. He could have done SOMETHING to make it so that the older child, regardless of heritage, be his heir. And the people seemed to be quite sure that Lion-O didn't have what it takes to be king and that Tygra would be the better choice, so I doubt changing the law would have been met with an uproar from them since they WANTED the adopted son to be king over his younger brother!
As it is, Tygra blaming his brother for something his parents set up is a douche move. Lion-O is not responsible for his own birth or what the rules of the kingdom dictated at his birth, nor is her responsible for his mother deciding to go through with having him when she knew she was too sickly and weak to do so. Sure Lion-O is not very experienced at being King, but that's because his own father and subjects clearly favor his brother for the position and rather than change the law, they did NOTHING about it and clearly didn't try nearly as hard as they could to prepare Lion-O for the throne or try and mend the divide between the brothers. They really screwed the relationship between the two princes from an early age.

YES EXACTLY. Like, I actually felt bad for Lion-O, I mean, from the point of view of others thinking he wasnt good enough and him just wanting some type of approval... but how could he get it? No one trusted him, not even his brother; it was so sad to see the whole rivalry thing going on between them... specially since, like you said, it wasnt entirely their fault, it was built almost since the beginning... since Lion-O was born. Thats just wrong.
I guess the reason behind Lion-O being the only possible heir has to do with the Eye of Thundera sword. I mean, Im not really sure if Tygra could somehow manage to get it to be his own but... yeah. Though, thats not an excuse for everyone to suddenly change their behaviour towards Tygra or even Lion-O. They could have... I dunno, done something different and less hurtful for both of them? MAYBE???
Anyway, they obviously wanted the rivalry drama going on, oh well... OTL
