Sometimes I'll re-draw a deviation to see how I've improved since. Here's a retry of this one:I didn't hate the original, but his ear and lips were REALLY bothering me. And sometimes, man, you just gotta draw Spike and all his jew-fro glory.

Cool! I love the bent cigarette, and the background is great! His hair kinda reminds me of the Fourth Doctor, though. Still, this is a really cool piece of work.

'Course I like it, Spike is cool as hell and that starry rocks. Steve Blum gave a nod to Spike by saying "Bang" at the end of Toonami's final broadcast. Even that didn't move me as much as when he said it as Spike.

You can definitely tell how your coloring has changed... The newer version is a much more polished and glossy style. I like the sky better in this one, but I think I like the smoke better in the older version! It just looks more wispy and wiry, about to dissipate, like real smoke would. The amazing jew-fro has improved haha

You've definitely improved--a lot considering the older version isn't even a year old!
I like the color and style (I guess that's the word) of the new one more, but I think I prefer the . . . mood (or is it tone?) of the older version. They're both lovely though.
