I TOLD YOU I'D GIVE YOU REAL ART AT SOME POINT!My version of Kusango (minus his arm patches...and with a friend! {And yes, minus this stitches, this was first and foremost a project for my art class, so he's just a purple tiger as I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the whole class by declaiming I play Neopets because I am five.}) The instrument he's holding is called a saz and is the traditional instrument of ashiks, the sort of wandering, lover minstrels of Turkey. Because that is where he is from. *nods*
Kusango here is 'teaching' his son how to play the saz. (In reality he's holding the chords while his son strums randomly, but don't tell his son that. Obviously he thinks he's very talented. I mean, look at that smile!)

Beautifully expressive!
I love the look of pride and indulgence in Kusango's eyes, and way the youngster is utterly entranced with the saz.
Nice composition with the strong back-side lighting.
My only critique is with the lack of background shading. With no shadows underneath them, the figures seem to be floating in a pink viod.
A minor issue, this is a lovely piece!

Thank you very much! I would love to add a REAL background eventually, it really is just supposed to be a pink void because I got lazy and had to print it and turn it in 12 hours after I finished it, haha. I'm glad you think it deserves an actual background though!
