it can't be denied that I have a thing about messing with movie posters/ads.left - theme was Egypt & Turkey looking badass with guns. Despite my lack of confidence to paint the guns, I did quite alright.
right - theme was Denmark as Viggo Mortenson from the ROTK poster.
Oh, THIS. This one I have plenty of negative things to talk about.
TL;DR.
At first I wanted to copy the other ROTK poster. I wanted to paint in Norway as Arwen lololol But then again, the idea of painting a group montage was NNNNOOOOOOO.
So we're back on the solo poster. I didn't want to do this at first because I know I would fail on the chainmail part. And I did. Spectacularly. HAVE SUM SHITTY CHAINMAIL OTL
Then I realized nobody would recognize Denmark in this
a- his recognizable hairdo can't be seen
b- he is holding his axe upside down so there goes another visual clue OTL
So I had to depend on the title text for the id purposes. Luckily enough I thought of a perfect replacement for the original title.
The only thing I LIKE about this picture is the background. Because everyone knows I love cheating with sky and epic cloud backgrounds... Esp when there's a good photo reference handy.oh yeah, see my realism fail OTL

Srsly, very interesting choices of characters! 
At first, when I saw the right one, it was hard for me to recognize the person, so yeah, I thought it was Germany.
Then I read it was Denmark, and I thought then....OMG! HAMLET!! <333
Srsly, Denmark-san and Hamlet kind of matches perfectly on this pic
(if you maybe know the story of the play)
But then I read "Lord of the Rings"...then I said to myself, "my god you failed two times!" OTL
Looks srsly like Hamlet to me OTL
But still looks absolutely awesome

I think it was hard for me to recognize Denmark because he doesn't look quite as wolfish in your version? I always see that he has quite fierce-looking (deeply slanted) eyebrows. And his eyes are also very garang. XD Maybe that would help with your portrayal. I like the little crown dangling from his axe handle though. :3

I really really like these. The LOTR one is very eye-catching and attractive. Denny looks so handsome! And, of course, Turkey and Egypt with giant guns is always a plus.
