Description Paraxenisaurus is a new genus and species recently described in Coahuila México, in the "Cerro del pueblo" Formation. The holotype specimen BENC 2 / 2-001 was described as an ornithomimosaur dinosaur belonging to the Deinocheiridae group (having Deinocheirus, Garudimimus and Beishanlong as close relatives) by its authors (Claudia Inés Serrano-Brañas, Belinda Espinosa-Chávez, S Augusta Maccracken, Cirene Gutiérrez-Blando, Claudio de León-Dávila, José Flores-Ventua), the remains appear to belong to several different individuals, but from different locations in the formation.
Despite the fact that the remains are quite fragmentary and scarce, it is estimated to be 5.7 meters long, and is dated from the Campanian 72.5 million years ago, coexisting with many other known dinosaurs from Mexico, for example the ceratopsid Coahuilaceratops, saurolophinae Latirhinus, and lambeosaurinae Velafrons. This is the first member of Deinocheridae outside Asia. Its defined aspect is not yet very well established, because in the absence of a skull and a more complete skeleton it is difficult to make a very exact representation, but it can be deduced based on its closest relatives, we hope in the future to find a more complete skeleton .
At first there was confusion, as Andrea Cau mentioned that it may have been a basal therizinosaur. This is not possible since the vertices of therizinosaurids in general are pneumatic, and those of Paraxenisaurus are not, also the claw of the hand that was discovered is not similar to that of basal therizinosaurids, having a more similar relationship to those ornithomimosaurs. Phalanges, metatarsals and metacarpus are also from an ornithomimosaur; the bones of the feet being similar to those of a Deinocherid, since they were designed to support a great weight, but not to run, in this way it can be concluded that the Paraxenisaurus is not a basal therizinosaur, but a Deinocherid ornithomimosaur.

I like this elegant look! Normally we get the humpbacked monster duck (which is still captured here), but this one looks more graceful! Nice job!

Maybe when I get a formal illustration of the Paraxenisaurus I will draw it with another dinosaur
