Years ago, I had a project for revamping all 6 of the Toa Mahri, with the intent of not only making them have colors more in line with their Matoran selves (outside of Hahli, whose colors were based on her Inika self, and Nuparu, whose colors were based on Onepu because I like purple), but also give them a function of sorts.

Kongu and Hewkii had a gearbox with slash action.
Hahli had flapping wings.
Nuparu had a spinning shield.

But what about Jaller and Matoro? I tried to make Matoro a side-to-side gearbox a la a Rahkshi and Vahki, but it didn't work out.

Now I've settled on giving the hero of Matoran-kind a double-slashing action, with a torso design that's barely modified from Toa Hagah Bomonga's design. The metal blue was something I decided on years ago (before I had even seen Toa Hagah Kualus), along with the return of sand blue in his color scheme as well, to bring his colors closer to his Matoran form.

Also included in the MOC is a metal blue non-aquatic Tryna mask for those who want a bit more of a matching color scheme.

Everything here outside the mask color can be made with real parts without modification too.
