Name: Kaoru Akako (Akako is her last name)
Age: 14
Height/Weight: 4'9" and 106lbs
Puella Group: Charlotte
Job: Just a student
Weapon: Rail-gun. Her magic powers it up to produce enough electricity to shoot any object at incredibly high speeds. It can grow to a certain extent to accommodate larger objects, however, she prefers to never do that since it muddies up her soul gem a LOT.
Wish: To be able to understand anything.
Personality: Very kind and quiet. Would be extremely friendly if she wasn't so introverted as a result or being bullied by other kids.

Can be very insecure when meeting someone new, and tries her best to give a good impression and show people she isn't just some kind of freak.
In normal life, she is very quiet and mostly ignored by everyone, even though she likes everyone in her classes. She gets very nervous when she's approached by someone, but if she gets relaxed enough after talking for a while, she's very easygoing and open minded.

As a Puella Magi, she does her best to defend people, mostly to show herself that she has some worth. She can get angry sometimes when other Puellae Magi make mistakes that hurt others, but it's only out of worry.
She does her best to act very tough in Puella Magi form.

Likes: People, books, science, learning about other people's lives.
Dislikes: Bullying, people who hurt others for fun, dogs, bugs
Backstory: Kaoru was raised by parents who are usually more preoccupied with their jobs and can only give her a bit of attention even though she's their only child. Even so, Kaoru was growing up to be fine, but one day, a dog snuck into her elementary school (when she was in 3rd grade) and into her classroom. Everyone else liked it, but she is deathly afraid of dogs and she panicked, even though it wasn't threatening at all. After that, people would scare her by barking or they would tease her, which grew onto full on bullying that followed her into middle school.
She didn't understand why her classmates did this to her, as she had done nothing to them, and she eventually figured that it must be her fault.
One evening, after an especially bad day, a bunch of girls chased her behind the school and threw things at her with no apparent motive except their own anger. After they left, Kaoru remained there crying and Kyuubey appeared to her. She decided there was no way she wouldn't make a wish, however she took around two weeks come up with one.
She figured what the best wish she could make to help ease her pain was. She wished to have the ability to understand anything.
She wished for the ability because she figured if she straight up wished to understand everything, there would be a massive overflow of information to her head and she would probably die. And in this way, she can understand what she wants to understand, and not what she doesn't want to understand.
This also makes understanding how to defeat a witch easier, although not the fighting. Her wish also didn't provide her with much of a weapon so she decided to make a railgun, as she figured she would get something good out of it, and after understanding it, wasn't incredibly difficult to make.
She doesn't like to use it much since it takes a toll on her magic, so instead she tries to help other Puellae Magi in guiding them to a weak spot or to know how to fight.
She herself is not very good at fighting, but she always tries to be tougher when she does fight, that way she feels stronger and that she is able to help everyone.

Additional:
Her hood is like a cloaking device that helps her hide for a very finite amount of time. It's also a reflection on her slightly introverted personality.

Urghh....I hope it's not Mary-Sue ish......I wanted to have a shy character as most of my females are very outgoing and tough...and she's not very much, but she can still kick some butt when she needs to, at least to defend the only friends she's made.

Originally, I wanted her to have a scythe (because of the hood thing and whatever) but that would make her have to get upclose to the witch, and she wouldn't want that. Plus I thought it was kind of cliche....

so yeap....sorry for super long rant!
