EDIT 2: Right, an updated sheet. Since I still worry about the original colour scheme I decided to include six other schemes to choose from. Even changing something small like the colour of the bandana seems to make a difference. I like some more than others.And I included the weapons. She would use a cutlass and a pistol. I tried to model them off the Al Bhed weaponry and the daggers she uses in her Thief mode.

EDIT: Okay, since the general opinion I'm getting is that people like it I'm submitting it. I'm going to add a weapon to it in a bit since I think dress spheres come with specific weapons/attacks (???) *has not actually played FFX-2*
Aaah, I do like it when something sparks my creativity.
Anyway, a possible entry for *montyoum 's Dead Fantasy III design contest in which alternate dress spheres are being thought up for Rikku. After talking to Keyo today I decided I wanted to enter too, and with a Pirate dress sphere since Rikku is going up against Ayane, a ninja. Who doesn't want to see pirate v. ninja?
I say possible entry because I'm not 100% sure I want to submit it. I wanted to keep to Rikku's colour scheme for her default outfit but having done so I can't decide whether it's ended up being too similar or not. Without the colour I like the design.
So...opinions, suggestions? Please?

That is a weapon I have for her, along with a pistol. I'm just re-uploading a more complete design sheet with the weapons in it and alternate colour schemes since some people think it's currently too close to the original (and I kinda agree).

Considering the speed at which she'll be moving it would probably be hard make a distinction between this and her normal outfit. Don't mean to shoot you down or anything, I definitely dig the design, but I feel like it needs something you'll notice when she's moving at the pace they're going in dead fantasy. Maybe a huge cannon on her back or something.

I think that it was really cool what you did with the scarf....
Because the scarf was the essence of Rikku's 'real' outfit, so the scarf has to be in it and I think you did it really well and in a creative way

The colouring on this is amazing. <33 I don't know enough about the character or the competition to comment, but on drawing style alone I'd say yes. XD

Nice, I love the Dead Fantasy vids...its so cool how the mix of Final Fantasy girls versus the girls of Dead or Alive are played out in them...Very cool

The only suggestion I could give is give her a nice cutlass and some lock flint pistols, this is brilliant L-O! Great work!
I can see why you'd be concerned about too many similarities to the original, but it does have a very good uniqueness about it. Pirates rule!
