Art left over from my chibi tumblr requests XDMelia is cute!
She just has a really complicated design so I ended up simplifying it a crap ton on this.
If I remember correctly, I was actually leaving for something when I made this so I felt bad it was rushed, but it still kind of came out alright despite that now that I look back at it!

My favorite is Sharla because uaaagh strong lady medic who takes no crap, slaps people for being stupid but is extremely warm, tender and loving
But Melia and Riki are tied for second best character.
Actually, I enjoyed pretty much the whole cast of that game, which is really hard for me to say in any RPG.
Even games like my beloved Xenosaga I have characters I'm not keen on. but not this game.
Oh gosh you have to keep playing the game DX just...the extent of the game is so massive I don't blame you for stopping.
Maybe even in the background of work, watch the 'movie' of it because a lot of great people uploaded some nice cut scenes only of the entire game.

you can ignore all that exploration and such and gun through the main story of the game, it still takes A TON of time, and adventuring through vast landscapes, but an option?

I'm extremely fond of Pit's modern remake, that doesn't seem too complicated? Or maybe I just drew it so much it seems that way...
Also Rosalina, looove her design it's so simple yet leaves an impact!
RPG characters though...that's another story...the more useless design elements, the better the character I guess!
