With mine, it's any time I feed the platies in the 10 gallon tank right next to his. I usually have to feed him first, because he goes nuts if he sees them eating and he hasn't been fed yet. He actually flared at me this morning, because I was soaking his bloodworms and ended up feeding the platies first. He was so mad!

XD Mine get mad if I'm late at feeding time. And I've got 12 bettas, so that's 12 filthy looks for being late!

^_^ Only 8 tanks. One's a 10-gallon sorority... Half those bettas are female. One did get evicted for being overly aggressive, though

I've heard some females can get aggressive. I even heard of one case where someone's female betta built a bubble nest and flared at other females! XD

My blue female built a bubble nest and tore after the other females... She got evicted from the big tank when fins started to get shredded. She's the "Blue Lady" in my gallery ^_^

He is! He's so cute when he does that, too; he swims against the glass, and it looks like he's trying to break through it. He does that whenever we walk up to the tank (and whenever he wants food!). Whoever said bettas didn't have any personality has never had a betta!
