Dang... did DA do something to the menus when you're submitting things? It feels a little... different? Not to mention getting this up took forever and a day.
Anyway! The sketch here was a gift to me from *GamingGirl73 , and I loved it as soon as I saw it! It was wonderfully drawn and was a perfect example of Maria's "main" outfit. Colouring had to be in order!
The background here is a scene from her original homeland, Dawne. I could waffle on for ages about that, but I'll spare you.
I had a blast inking and colouring this, I just love the Super Princess Peach feeling the original drawing had.

But once again, you've made one fab-tiddly-antastic coloring, my dear Moonrose!
I love the shininess of the eyes, the softness of the dress and the shininess of her hair! It looks so soft, you can just imagine how enjoyable petting her would be x3 Her husband must do that a lot. And her sparkly eyeshadow is just awesome
One thing I noticed you did different, which I really like, is making the center of the flowers and the bodies of the butterflies in her headdress a more golden color while the rest is silver. This really makes for a better adornment and makes it so it's not all monotone. =3 Great work of alternating colors, sweetpea!
And I love the desert dunes and even the little water oasis area! ^.^ You thought of it all, didn't you? And you painted all that yourself? =3 Dazzling, sweetie!
I love Maria and it was so nice of GG73 to draw her! =3 You really did that sketch justice by colouring this! ILU!

I did quickly skim it over before, but I just gave it another look so I'd understand it better. One man protesting against video games, trying to get certain ones removed claiming they're behind the violence in the world right?
It annoys me when people pin the blame on video games like that. I know there are some nasty ones out there, but they're given age ratings and warnings for a reason.
I don't really play the games you mentioned in your journal, but it sucks for those who do enjoy them. I hope it doesn't pass.

The coloring on this turned out wonderfully! I especially love the way her hair turned out. You're really good at doing hair. <3 Mouth looks a bit odd, but otherwise this did turn out very well. :3 I'm really liking the outfit design too. Definitely suits her.

The mouth is my main concern as well. But it was like this in the original sketch and I felt bad about making drastic edits to it. Not that I really knew how to fix it OTL. I just tried to make it fit the SPP theme instead.

Aw, really? I greatly appreciate the interest! I won't go on too much about it, because the last thing I want to do is bore you. But in summary Dawne is a separate land from Hyrule and it's divided into several areas. I'm still working on them, but at least two main areas exist in it: One is the desert pictured here - which is where Maria's tribe, the Lunes dwell. The other is more natural looking, with rolling green fields and lush, secluded mountains. This is where a second tribe, the Lypse live.
Dawne doesn't have a royal family as such, but they treat the Mystic bloodline as their "leaders" because they're able to make use of the Seals which keep the land in balance. Maria is part of that bloodline.
Generally speaking, it's something I'm constantly working on.
