Description
I got a request to do this after making Australia, so I got to it. I was shocked when I saw just how much alike the 2 flags are. The only differences are the number of stars in the dark blue part, & the stars that are there are red & white. I couldn't have this sari look exactly the same, so I took a different approach.

The model is inspired by that girl from "Whale Rider," a Maori. I believe they are the native people Captain Cook met when he first visited New Zealand. They're well-known for their extensive facial tattoos, (& I'm sad to say I couldn't put any on our lovely model :/. Best I could do was give her henna on her hands). There are still Maori living in New Zealand today, as well as light-skinned people from other nations.

Most of the people in New Zealand live on the northern island, whereas the southern island is largely uninhabited & barely touched by man. That & its amazing landscapes made the island a perfect location for filming movies such as the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy & "The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe (4 movies I absolutely LOVE! ). People with enough money sometimes go there just to see the locations, despite the fact that the filming has long been done.

New Zealand also has a lot of fun things for tourists to try out, including boating, sky-diving, water-skiing, beaches, & my favorite; riding out on boats on the ocean to visit dolphins!
