Description Cus Gerald Butler is hot. Kinda want to see Love Never Dies, but a bit worried that Phantom might be ruined forever.

Phantom is ruined if you see Love Never Dies; still can't believe the same person gave it the green light to come to West End/Broadway.

The sequel wasn't too bad, but I have to agree with others with saying that the lyrics didn't seem to be top notch, such as the line that has "made of better stuff" in it. Stuff? Not the most appetizing word XD. But not only that, there were some things that went unexplained, yet they were minor to say the least. Over all I loved the sequel and have bought the soundtrack. I swear no matter how many times I watch or listen to these two musicals I always cry, and sometimes it's not even at the end or at the sad parts. It's mainly just because the music strikes my heart down to the core, causing the tears to spill. But that's just my personal opinions and such

Amen to his loveliness! It would have been awesome to see him in a film version of LND!

Not ruined forever, seriously. It's amazing. Well, people have mixed emotions, but I thought it was amazing. The original london cast and original london plot was much better than the recorded australia one. But...it's still pretty good.

I agree, he is hot A little too hot for my taste to be the Erik I know from books, but certainly very nice to look at in the movie
I merely read about ALW's sequel and I dislike certain aspects of the plot, yet I would go to see it if I had the chance. Some of the songs are really good and catchy, IMO.
Concerning the drawings, I adore your style. The folds of the clothes are very well drawn as are the hands.

Oh and don't see LND. It's got a terrible plot. (even though Ramin Karimloo was an amazing POTO and he does a wonderful job in it... yeah...)

Love it! <3 Have you heard the music from LND? It's not that bad, and Sir Andrew said himself that he doesn't really consider it a sequel, but a story that has the characters from the original. Yeah, it is kind of screwed up if you really adore the original and know everything about it...but give it a shot.

He is hot. I think he's my favorite interpretation of the Phantom, half-masked versions at least. My favorite full-mask version is Charles Dance; soul of an Angel I tell you.
P.S. Love Never Dies is not worth seeing in its unedited format. *wikied the plot and was disappointed with it; however, she wants to create her own ending to the story before she sees the musical in its edited format*

He IS hot and you captured it very well! :3 I have the same thoughts as you - I would love to see him and Emmy Rossum once again as that duet, but I'm still afraid that movie will be just terrible...

Very nice. You've done a particularly excellent job on Erik's face and mask.

I appreciate fan art that isn't merely a copy of a publicity still or a screen capture; and even when one uses a reference, as you did, the blend of source materials makes for a far more interesting (and original) image than the same old stuff we've seen hundreds of times before. Boring!

I like these a LOT, but Erik's right arm doesn't hang quite naturally in the full-figure portrait. In my mind's eye, I could "see" the cane that I was certain your reference would be holding. (I looked - he was.) The angle of the arm isn't perpendicular enough, and the hand looks like it should be gripping something. (A cane? ) Not quite right for a clenched fist, nor for a relaxed hand.

In fact, now that I look at it a little closer, the stance of the body and drape of the clothing give the appearance that he's leaning on that nonexistent cane.

Perhaps you could have him leaning on his (movie) sword instead. You could make it about the same length, and then the stance and body angles would be correct.

One of the things I really like about these drawings is that he's dressed the way a gentleman did in his day. (Does that make him a slave of fashion? ) No opera cloak (just because the Phantom wears evening dress all the time does NOT mean he wears a cloak all the time, too!), shoes rather than boots (wish I knew where phans got the idea he wears boots. Only when dressed as Don Juan), and a top hat! It looks very dashing on him.

Love Never Dies scares me. It will either be the greatest thing, or the worst...

I completely agree with you on Gerard Butler being hot. It's hard to find people who do, sadly.

Also, AWESOME Phantom artwork! All of your pieces are lovely.

LND isn't as bad as you think it might be. I took it as a bunch of catchy songs, with more pretty costumes and sexual tension, and found it quite nice, actually.

If you ever get the chance to see Love Never Dies and you can afford it by all means go. If not there are other ways you can research it to find out if you like it or not. That's what I had to do. I'm staunchly on the Love Should Die side but if ALW provided the means for me to go see it I would { mostly to shut up those who say that no matter how much research you did on the sequel you still can't have an honest opinion of it if you didn't actually get to see the actors inhaling and exhaling right in front of you as they recited their lines or sang their songs }.
