Hi everyone
Gosh, it's been a while... Anyways, I've been working on my fanfiction for Inuyasha in my absence from fanart. It's called Seven Feudal Fairy Tales and has done fairly well for itself, garnering several awards which I'm greatly honored to receive. Here is the plot:--After reading a poetry scroll amongst the relics once belonging to Inuyasha's mother, Kagome traps herself and Sesshoumaru in another world, where they must journey through seven, different fairy tales and complete the poem if they wish to return home.--
It has however had very little fanart done for it, so I thought I'd do a little something for it... which turned out to be a lot of something. I hope you all enjoy it and hopefully I'll be putting up some new art in the near future.

I read the last words of your fiction a moment ago. I was thoroughly enthralled during my two day reading marathon :3 I'm sad it's over but delighted that I was able to read such a story.
Also, my boyfriend is half Japanese and was able to recall all of the fairy tales you used, I thought that was interesting lol

I've gotten a fair number of people who don't care for the pairing to read. It's not big on romance and I don't bash any of the characters, so it might be worth the read

Shiro is hard not to love, the big goof. I've got a soft spot for the Dragon king too, although my favorite is Fe-San. That stupid bird still cracks me up.

Normally, I never leave a review for fanfictions because they rarely hold my interest long enough for me to finish. However, I could not step away from yours. It was very well written, so much so that I now find it even more impossible to read any other Inuyasha fanfiction. The character portrayals within this story were so well written that anyone elseβs interpretation of Sesshoumaru and Kagome now seem ridiculously out of character.
I rather like how you did NOT make Sesshoumaru out to be this materialistic nobleman who spends all his time in some large castle filled with demon servants--something rampant among fanfiction yet which the existence thereof holds no evidence within the manga. This is the only fanfiction I've read where the position of "Lord" referred not to the possession of wealth and servants, but to the naturalistic way an animal would hold guardianship of a territory.
As for the incorporation of Japanese folk tales, well done! This made for a very original story that actually held my interest past the first three paragraphs. How you diverged from the original stories made the tale unpredictable and interesting. The lessons taught within their adventures were also insightful and compelling. I could really see the characters grow as they moved forward.
Lastly, thank you for not pairing Sesshoumaru and Kagome together in the end under some notion of βlove.β Forming a bond that transcends such a fleeting emotion really felt more realistic and natural for these two. For them to have that short time together within the scrolls before they return to their separate lives as better people was the kind of ending I was hoping for, and I was well satisfied when it was fulfilled.

You know it is truly refreshing to read a review where the reader has read my story for the same reasons that I wrote it. I wanted to expand the expectations and minds of those who have been reading so many fics mired by the works of those who came before them. There are so many avenues that have yet to be explored in fanfiction and when I read another summary that tells the same tale over and over, it saddens me.
I am pleased that someone as well-spoken and thoughtful as you found 7FFT as engaging and remarkable as I intended and this review alone is quite possibly the best I've ever received for it. I am incredibly grateful for it and thank you so much for reading.

I am horrible about keeping people informed of updates. I am a forgetful person to my own detriment most of the time. I'd say your best bet is to check every other Sunday. I plan on updating this Sunday and chapter 55 has been posted already.
