Every so often I have dreams that need exorcizing in some way or another.That said, being followed by a hooded figure you think is a friend of yours and then turns out to be a crow underneath, all in a very warmly-lit, metallic sort of environment, is... unpleasant.

That's true - underrated and much maligned. I do love them as well; they're probably my favourite corvids, but that dream was quite unsettling.

Hey well, I suppose that if I had dreamt of a hooded crow, I would probably cringe as well. Of course, I have no idea what your dream was about, or how terrifying it was, I just find the picture amusing in a strange way (it's the red hood, I think).
Also, I hope you don't mind, but your picture has given me an idea for a very short short story (more like a double drabble, really). That's how good I think the picture is

As a manip, on the other hand, it looks very cool. Reminds me of some of the Sandman covers...

It wasn't pleasant - but the manip turned out nicely, and I did manage to get some sleep after finishing it. Hopefully she's effectively banned to the manip.
And Sandman... now that you mention the comics, the feeling in the dream (though harder to say in retrospect) didn't seem terribly different from reading some of the less savoury Gaiman stories... hm.

Crows are very lovely animals, I'm very fond of them myself, though having an unexpected one showing up after having followed you in a dream for quite a while... was a bit unsettling.
