LadyElleth — Train to Valinor

Monday morning train to Hamburg, with the sun just climbing above the horizon, and turning the mist golden. Doesn't come out so well on the photo, but the light looked a lot like I imagine the waxing of Laurelin.

I love the diffuse fogginess of the light - the pale, cool gold of the fading light. I can well see how you would see this and think of Laurelin. Or Telperion, for that matter, as there's something silvery there, too. Maybe it's the mingling of the lights.

A very lovely photograph - I love the atmosphere of it.

That's beautiful. It seems almost like something off of the set of a horror film, it has that spooky feel.

It was actually a very peaceful and tranquil train ride - and oh so pretty in a way that the pic doesn't even cover - but heh. Perceptions differ, and I certainly smiled reading about yours. After all, the peaceful moments in horror films are usually when the monster/killer suddenly jumps out at you.

Hmmmm, yes. Ziemlich neblig, daher würde ich auf Alqualonde tippen, oder Calacirya.^_^
Das is so schön wenn man sich vorstellen kann, man fährt dahin! Wobei ich persönlich der Meinung bin, dass das Licht von Mond und Sonne genauso schön ist wie das der Bäume, wenn nicht noch besser, bzw stärker. Ich glaub, dass nie ein Mensch in Valinor hätte leben können, weil es nie dunkel wird und man nicht schlafen kann. Oder aber das Licht der Bäume war an sich schon ein Dämmerlicht... das wär aber komisch. oO

Warum sollte es nicht allgemein in Valinor auch Nebel geben? Für Alqualonde war es leider nicht nahe genug am Wasser, aber naja... und die Bäume - ich denke schon, dass die schöner waren, ob nun Menschen dort leben konnten oder nicht... immerhin was das das 'unsullied light', während Sonne und Mond sozusagen nur die zweitbeste Lösung waren, nachdem Morgoth die Bäume schon verdorben hatte...

Bleibt immer noch die Frage nach der Nacht: ob es in Valinor wohl jemals dunkel wurde? Aber vielleicht war das auch gar nicht nötig, Elfen schlafen ja nicht in dem Sinne.^^
Auf dem Bild sieht das Licht so schön verteilt aus, als wäre der Nebel selber das Licht. Das erinnert wirklich an die Bäume^^ Vielleicht hast du recht und sie waren schöner, aber im Grunde waren Bäume, Sonne und Mond aus demselben Material, daher halte ich sie für gleich schön.^^
