Now I know a bit more about animation so one day I want to make something. Best would be if I could something that really moves, not just animated layers of a psd file, but who knows

No worries. And I apologize for my late reply. I don't know if you heard but the BBC and Netflix have joined together to produce another remake of Watership Down due next year. This time it will be in CGI form and according to the producers, will make it "(visually) less brutal and scarring" than the 1978 film.

That last part is what fills me with trepidation. I'll watch this when it's released, but I wish they would stop trying to sanitize the violence and darkness for overly sensitive children (and parents) as it's part of the story's fabric. I think your artwork better captures the spirit of the book and '78 film than any major studio adaption ever will (IMO). Really looking forward to what you'll do with this project.

I love this picture so much. Watership Down is a very special story to me. I think you, LadyFiszi, have the best Watership Down fanart I have ever seen. I love them all.
I'm replying down here to agree with you, sewolawen73, about your trepidation about the remake, which I've just now heard about. Making it less "brutal and scarring" will take away so much of what makes Watership Down special. What made me love the movie the first time I saw it when I was very little was the fact that the scary parts actually scared me, disturbed me in a way that no other animated film ever had, and I LOVED every second of it. I knew even that young that I had stumbled on something special, and years later when I found and read the book, fell even deeper in love with it. Seems a shame that others might miss out on the true depths of this story by seeing a sanitized version of it. Oy, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ramble so much. XD Just wanted to say that I love Watership Down and I love this artwork!

The black longhaired rabbit looks really weird, but other than that I really like the art, the style, and the way you contrasted the stylistic art for the story with the more natural animation for the storyteller and his listeners.

It sounds similar. It is because of translation, in our language we dont have words starting on "y" so I think that's why they translated it as "Ň" because it sounds like "N" and "J" in same time.

I love this! The whole feeling of all the Watership rabbits together in the cozy Honeycomb at story time is just great. It would be dark of course, but I like that Dandelion's words light the burrow with a magical, ethereal glow. In the other version the light is all warm and dramatic (like most of your WSD art) and how the Honeycomb might look if it was lit. It's pretty clear who most of the characters are, though I had to look at the other version for the more nondescript rabbits, such as Bluebell. Is Dandelion telling all five stories of El-ahrairah? I recognize Yona and Inle, but what are the middle three pictures from? This drawing is really wonderful; it just makes me want to jump into it and join the Watership rabbits in their own lives.

Oh, not all the five stories... the middle three are just random images of Prince Rainbow, Lord Frith and El-ahrairah. They are from older pictures, except the Rainbow one, which is from a picture I never finished.
