Dave and Karkat were BORN TO MAKE HISTORY

or, you know, to just sort of stumble across the ice and learn that doing an acrobatic fucking pirouette is a bad idea when you are wearing a cape.

I know there are quite a few mistakes in this thing and the staging is kind of poor, but I'm glad I took the time to finish this, considering that it's one of my most elaborate animations yet. That's also why I had to leave out a few details. For example I didn't draw the symbols on the boys' shirts, because I don't hate myself THAT much.

I worked, again, in FireAlpaca, which I'm pretty comfortable with. The only thing that bothers me about the program is that you can't tweak the length of each frame (you can only duplicate it to make it last longer), and contrary to Pencil2D, it doesn't feature multiple layers, which was a bit of a pain while working on this animation. But hey, at least I feel like I'm improving.

My favourite part in this one is when Karkat is flailing for balance, it's just so wonderfully silly and cartoony.
When I made the rough animatic, I actually considered having Karkat fall on top of Dave, but as cute as that would have been, I was too lazy to animate Dave's body in the ending. Sigh, the descisions you have to make as an artist.
