This scene takes place after Razer gets his blue lantern ring back from Metron and thus becomes a Blue and Red Lantern simultaneously. As he's getting ready to leave to continue his mission Varien places her hands on his giving them a comforting squeeze. While looking into his eyes she smiles kindly telling him the same words she told him when they last parted ways so long ago. She told him that she believes in him and that if anyone can find Aya it's him, but that if he should ever need help just call on her and she'll be there. As Razer flies into the vast space, he tells Varien to say hello to Hal for him as he leaves with a newfound hope and determination.

(To avoid confusion Varien and Razer aren't and have never been romantically involved. What they have is a platonic love for each other. Their honestly just close caring friends and Varien hopes that Razer will one day be reunited with his love Aya).
