Description From the Fablehaven books. Which I thought were great up till the point when the author pulled a fast one in the pairings department and left me going WTF?!

There was absolutely no build up to these relationships and it felt like children on the playground pointing fingers and saying things like "you like her now you have girl cooties" instead of the mostly adult relationship that he had built up to for four and half books.

But I digress, Kendra is fairykind which means that the fairies have to obey her and grants her other more otherworldly abilities, like seeing through illusions, immunity to mind control, and can speak most Silivan languages.

Seth is a shadow charmer which means that he can control the darker elements of the supernatural world. In addition to control them he can shade walk (be invisible except in the strongest light), speak the dark languages, and is immune to magical emotional effects (fear from a revenant, guilt from stealing a unicorn horn things like that).

Together they can tame dragons. She can withstand the illusions and he can withstand the fear they give off if they hold hands they lend the other their abilities making it easy to tame the dragons.

They are in their Knights of the Dawn initiate robes and I made them about five years older.

I really should, I would just have to re-read them. But thank you. And thank you for the favorite.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I'm pretty sure the author described her as a blonde.

If anyone finds the reference on Kendra and Seth's hair color... I'd love to settle that. I listened to the audiobook, so my attention may have wandered at a crucial descriptive moment, and it's been bugging me. I see fanart going both ways on DA

Yeah it bothers me too. I borrowed the books so I don't have them on hand to look it up.

This is really awesome, I'm in the middle of the 5th book. I found Seth to be extremely gullible, aggravating, disrespectful, and overly-stubborn, which made me want to go in the book and smack him a few times. But he does seem to be learning his lesson.

Yes he does eventually learn his lesson, but if you're about half way through then you are about to get to the point where the author said "ok, despite what I've been gearing toward for quite some time here are the pairings I want and yeah kthxbai!!"

Really? Well, I don't want any spoilers. I don't know, I'm actually enjoying it. Like I said before, it was Seth I found extremely irritating, but everything else I liked. I really want to read the author's next series soon.

I was irritated with the end but that's just me. If you like it you are more then welcome to do so, I won't ruin your fun.

Awww, that's sweet! I'm sure everyone had different reactions to the ending. It would be boring if it turned out the way everyone wanted or "cliche", ne?

I suppose that's true but it felt sudden and abrupt to me. Oh well, if I want really good writing I just have to wait a week for "A Throne of Fire" by Rick Riordan the next book in the Kane Chronicles.

Yeah, I can't wait for that too, since Egyptian mythology and culture is my absolute favorite! I wrote an original novel based on it that I hope to publish one day, called Osiris Rising. It's in my gallery if you're curious.
