Adina was excited for class to begin as she headed to school with her best friends. Upon hearing Ms. Netty say that she'd need to dig for worms, her excitement waned and she grew unsure of the work needing to be done.

Finding worms? Where should she start?

Her thoughts raced as she thought of a good place to start. Right next to the water! Hoping that the dirt would still be soft enough to dig as far as needed, she began to try and sense a worm beneath the cold ground. She felt what she thought might have been the worm wiggling underfoot and dug as fast as she could making a mess of herself in the process. She began to grow excited again as her magic felt more intense, but little did she know as to why it would feel that way as a worm had landed on her ear. Of course, she just thought it was more dirt, and continued to dig.

I worked longer on this than I thought possible. I'm really proud of the outcome, and I can only hope to get better! There are things I wanted to include in this but time got the better of me and I decided to focus on one main idea rather than go with the bigger picture as I wouldn't have time to finish this. It was really fun seeing what exactly I'm capable of when I put my mind to it. c:
