Description
This is Louis he was the cat of my boyfriends family, and I say was because they had him put down. He attacked a member of the family, and they decided they couldn´t keep him due to fright and potential legal problems if he should attack one in the neighbourhood. I, being the cat person I am, really didn´t agree, but eventually it was not my decision. So it´s really sad, I liked him alot. Really a character!Another picture of Louis:

cats aren't really tame animals to begin with, but most of the time that's no problem, because usually they are too small to do any real harm anyways.

Yeah, he attacked the mother in the family. Without warning he jumped her and started scratching away. She got him off and then he attacked again. I saw the results and it was not pretty, so I understand that she was frightened by the incident, but I don´t think it was reason enough to put him down. The family just isn´t cat people so they don´t know how to act with cats. He had his issues being through different homes during his life, but he was actually sweet, but very insecure and jumpy. I think he needed more attention and that the attack was his was of saying that, all though it was quite extreme.

that explains it. I have got scratched by my cats alot, but I'm a cat person so I can understand what my cat asks when she scratches me...it's really sad

Well, not that many houses, but enough to make him insecure I think.
His first owners had a baby and couldn´t keep him so they placed him with some family but they couldn´t have him and so they placed him somewhere else. But then the people I know got him, and they intended to keep him, so they had him for one and a half year and then he attacked the mother. I would have kept him gladly if I could. But they thought he was a bit insane so they were afraid that he suddenly would attack again, for example a child.
It´s a bit hard to explain it all in writing, but you get the idea

Yes, I do get the idea and it makes me mad. Why adopting a cat if you want to deliver him later to someone else? There are many families who have cats and they don't deliver them because they have a new baby.
Would it be against the law if you kept him after that?

No, not against the law, but I am a student now and I live in the basement of the people who owned the cat (that´s why I have been able to take pictures of him), and if they were afraid of him I couldn´t have him down there. We share the same garden too, and I eat dinner with them sometimes, so it would almost be the same as keeping the cat themselves. They wouldn´t let me. And if your wondering about all the other cats we have they live at home with my mother and brother and not with me (I had to move to another city because of school).
