Yes! Hahaha! You know I love this! I'm not even worried about the boy! I just like to see him bleed Magic in a symbolic manner as if he is falling backwards and upside down! This is excellent! I really like how you rendered the blood and Magic Mix and how it glows so bright. Poor Trenton does look very tired and like he is about ready to black out any minute if he hasn't already. Very well done and I can't wait to get into the story even deeper!

Though I do like drawing characters grounded in reality for the most part, I really do love the symbolic stuff too.
I'm actually looking forward to the violent things coming up in the comic--it's not all sarcastic quips and devil-may-care shenanigans!

Oh no!!!! Trenton wounded again!!What happened?! I love the way you've drawn the magic bleeding out of him- it's incredible! The gory red background highlights the violence of this act and the shock of seeing a favourite character so vulnerable. I have sooo many questions- the main one being- who shot him??!

Thank you! I'll take any chance to use dramatic lighting in a piece! I was considering not using red for the background since it seemed like an obvious choice, but I couldn't think of what else would work so I went with it. xP

Oh noes, quick, press on it hard! I love how the magic glow appears to be dripping like underwater, floating against gravity, and how Trenton's eyes look on the verge of rolling in a faint, the colours are fantastic )acid green is always a winner, in my opinion) and wow well done for using red so well in that stark-lit background, I think the very thin red outline works really well too

Thank you! *advantages of having a doctor for a sibling* Since it's magic I thought it wouldn't react like normal substances (plus his magic looks pretty goopy anyways). I kind of like drawing dark stuff like this, but I never draw a whole lot since when people ask to see my sketchbook, I don't want them to give me weird side eyes!
Thanks! The background is actually a photo I took of a river with the hues all changed. Now it sort of looks like a bloody river but it fits. lol I was using a color wheel to see what would go with the sickly green and red it was--I'm just happy it didn't end up looking Christmas-y. xD

You should hide your sketchbook, like I do lol (actually I lie, mine is currently sitting in full view near my window, but no one looks in it, I arrange things on top to make sure I know if they have *beady eye of suspicion*)
Lol it does! Yeah red is the complimentary colour of green, but you did indeed save it from becoming festive with the choice of green (red is just red, I hate red, it's so stubborn! Why can't it be more like green?)

He's a qualified army medic so he argues he can get away with that, and also doesn't advertise the fact that he performs frequent minor surgeries on said family member...
It's pocket-sized so it's easy to hide, but I draw out in the living room and kitchen a lot so anyone can easily look over my shoulder! Oh I hide my big one among a bunch of big books in my room so no one would really think of looking there. 
You can't do a whole lot with red or else it becomes soft pink/hot pink and changes the picture all together

Especially since it was inflicted by a bullet! Well, this is more symbolic so his magic wouldn't really react that way--he'd just bleed like any other normal person, BUT he can use his magic to sort of cauterize the bleeding (though it does require a lot of energy and concentration so he can't keep it up for long).
