Description
This is Kadaj's Souba from Final Fantasy, entirely hand made. Two bladed Katana if you're not familiar.Reference: [link] - Evidently a few of their details are wrong, like the colour of the handle-wrapping, but you get the picture.
I hate the blades... I can never get them perfect... But I'm fairly pleased with the way it turned out.
Materials:
Hard wood
MDF wood
Cardboard
1 can of Chrome enamel spray paint
2 cans of Gold enamel spray paint (...)
1½ metre(s) of textured light blue ribbon.
¼ metre of Dark blue ribbon
¼ metrte of white ribbon
Lots of gloss undercoating
Here's a few tips; DON'T use crappy wood and DON'T glue your hand to the sword with HOT GLUE.

i making hem 2 but mine are not so good :/ the wood is not good the blades a little curved and pointing to eachother :/ but we gonna make them straight XD little bad but it works for me xD

Hey, can I ask what dimensions you used for this? I'm trying to find some blade and handle lengths from reference pictures, but I figured I'd trust you instead. And what color ribbons did you use? (I'm colorblind)

Hello my name is Chioky XD what caught my eye is this dazzling sword of yours ^^ I have seen many different versions but you have been able to build the sword in the right dimensions to be functional, and for that I think you have done an excellent job XD

I really need to get a new Souba, mine was made in a rush by a friend, so it's a black handle. I have the real Souba, but I can't bring it in for cosplaying sadly XD Though yours does look good

I recently made a Souba for kin_ushi for our Kadaj and Yazoo cosplay. Ours didn't come out nearly as vibrant as yours. But I wanted you to know that your reference pic was wrong. O_O; The ties are actually a dark blue (so you were close). Kin and I studied the movie pretty hard for our cosplay. I hope this makes you feel a little better about it!

Ah, I probably didn't word the description correctly. XD The 'reference' was intended for those who haven't a clue what the Souba looks like remotely. All of my references were taken from the movie and my miniture model of the souba. Blue handle wrap, dark blue & white ribbons. The white ribbon goes specifically on the top and the dark blue underneath (I'm very certain about that fact, but not 100%). I didn't include this in my Souba but one the blades is supposed to be a darker colour. I cbf with that detail. XD

There's a few souba's for sale online, they'll cost about $60-100... not sure what that adds up to in your currency >.<
Making one like I did will take time and patience... I only made it because I don't like buying or commissioning props or major parts of my costumes since I'll be in a competition. Besides, no one's going to be happy if I, of all people, have a REAL sword 
Too bad. I wanted a real Katana.
