From May 29th, 2010This was very hard, and I knew it was going to be hard, but I commited to doing this over a week ago (when I started buying supplies).
Bento Contents:
-Issun (made from egg sheets and colored provolone cheese)
-Rice
-Zucchini Slices
-Cherry Tomatoes
-Stir-Fried Carrots
-Honey Almonds
-A Milk Candy
Prep for this started last night: I made the egg sheets and colored the hat pieces. This morning I got up at 6am to make it. Everything was cut by hand (with my trusty paring knife) except for the false eyes on his hat and the tie for his cape.
I feel the remaining kind of suffered, since I was ridiculously tired at that point. I finished around 7:15am.

it turned out pretty good! i really admire those gifted ones who can actually make charabentoes. It is like, the hardest thing to do since well...charabentoes
Plus you didn't used cutters or molds, i'm impressed!

Honey almonds are a Blue Diamond brand almond (I've never seen them made by another company), but instead of seasoning with salt the almonds are glazed with honey.
