Very nice! Did he build it himself, or is it a ready made product? I don't have a very good idea of what GWS and fan companies have put out these last years.

Only thing bothering me about the construction is the green portal thingy or what it is. With the sides of it visible (and having a highlight from the light) it looks separated from the rest. On way of solving this would be, when building it, to set the portal pieces edge slightly behind the other material. Also a brighter green on the façade around the portal would give it a glow feeling, which I think is missing.

Other then that I think the façade is too clean. Maybe it should be, I'm not that knowing of the Necron style. Some big dusty smudges would probably give it more life, if it would suite the Necron style guide.

As for the photo; a 45 degrees shot in addition to the side shot would have been very nice.
More angles help very much with getting a feeling for depth and details.

Light is nice, but get a big white (thick) mate paper sheet and put it underneath and behind so that is forms a nice curve.. well I'm sure you know the drill.

Also a little more room around the object would be nice.
