Description The artistic soul
Doth not yearn
For shadowed embrace
Wallowed heavy upon thine heart
Undulation upon undulation
Of uttered remembrance
Betwixt yellow teeth slipped
With scathing exhale
Benevolent eyes
That burn cry foul play
Deception undesired
Yet willingly tread
A life...No 'the'
Addictive beyond cerebral
Fallen into habit
Resurfacing perilous
As with fetus
Suspended in amniotic fluid--
Oxygen, my death
The soul suppressed suffocates
The gills cannot process
All fails indefinately
And so I plead
Relieve my apprehensions
Sooth a weary will
That I might sleep at ease
For once.

I think this is so good! I really like how the lack of rythm and use of "difficult" sentences, makes me read every line carefully... It adds such power to what you want to say!

Not in any way is this considered "horrible", as you say. Damn it, girl, you rock, and you know it.
This reminds me of my past cutting and somewhat alcohol addictions. Thank hell I got over those...anyways. Awesome poem. And the visual portrays it well.

Ehehe. :3 I actually meant the title was horrible. This is my favourite poem out of the group I submitted today. It seems we've lived a similiar life. When I was taking the picture I thought of this poem I had stashed away. Seemed fitting. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the commentary.
