Absolutely lovely imagery! Just bought an XK8 and I can clearly see here where the ancestry lies. The XK8 lies somewhere betwixt this beauty and the Aston Martin DB7. Far more lines curves and sublime beauty than the super car lines...!

Really nice rendering! Did you use Global Illumination for this shot? Because it's really hard for me to get nice and dark shadow like this with GI on.

Thanks! Yes I used GI. The lighting setup consists basicly of two overhead area lights and other two smaller area lights to the sides closer to the ground.

When you see a non-CG restored version drive by on the street (we get that occasionally in Los Angeles) its a thrill and the car stands out against all the others, even the oligarch specials (Lamborghini's and Ferrari"s).
