Mega Man Realities, a series focusing on alternate reality versions of Mega Man. Why? Because what good superhero doesn't have hundreds of alternate versions of themselves?

So this is Mega Man Steam, a designation given to him because he's from a steampunk universe. Or I guess using my normal format:

Name: Rock Light

Alias: Mega Man (Steam)

Species: Android

Equipment:
-steam powered battle armour
-Mega Buster

Bio: Lord Thomas Light and Count Albert Wily are two high society aristocrats and scientists specializing in robotics. Lord Thomas invented the Steam-Powered Charging Station, part of a new form of robot powering mechanism that no longer required coal to be directly loaded into a robot, but instead charged special power cells using the station. Following this revolutionary invention he came up with another; human-like robots called androids. They look, act, and think like humans and are compatible with the SPCS, and able to perform tasks humans can't.

The first of these creations, a police robot in child form named Proto Man, ran off and was stolen by Count Wily who used him as a blueprint for his own line of police robots; Sniper Joes. Thomas tried again, this time correcting the mistakes he made with Proto Man by fashioning twin androids as helpers and children; named Rock and Roll. They quickly formed a strong familial bond and Light taught them how to be upstanding youths while he created a further eight androids for helping industry: Cut Man, Guts Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, Ice Man, Elec Man, Oil Man and Time Man.

After presenting them, and winning the Royal Prize for Robotics, the jealous Count Wily, whose own contributions had been utterly ignored and even been attributed to Light (the Sniper Joes primarily which had only had minor input from Lord Thomas*), broke into Light's lab and stole the eight industrial robots to use in a plot to conquer the world.

In response Rock chose to be upgraded to a fighting robot, using the prototype Steam Powered Armour that Lord Thomas had been constructing as a way to protect humans in dangerous situations, now converted into battle armour for Rock. When the upgrades were finished Rock dubbed himself Mega Man after his Mega Buster weapon and went off to stop the evil Count.

The picture of the Mega Buster was something I drew in my earlier pictures in this series (I'm not uploading them in that order though), but stopped in later ones. I wanted to see if the projectile could look a bit different in various 'punk' eras, as well as it firing. But I stopped later partly because I ran out of ideas, and partly because I figured it was probably unnecessary.

*I just had to note that the steampunk version of Dr. Light being named Lord Thomas Light was not intended to create any name link with Thomas Angelus, I only realized that I had a character named Lord Thomas halfway through.
