Description Someone just asked me about these today, and if they were for sale. I forgot I hadn't put these up here! Shame on me.

I love these things, they always get a lot of comments at cons.
They are a bit expensive to make though, so its hard for me to price them under $40- [b]so they are for sale at that price HERE- [link] [/b]
They are made quickly, so it would ship about the next day after ordering.

As you can see in the first picture- the gold is NOT flat gold!!! It is a metallic gold that changes color through out- to bronze and aged looking golds.

Anyways, my steampunk character's theme is Owls :3 So, these have Owls on them. Might add more to them later.

The goggles themselves are actually plastic, yes. With everything I add to them, they would be too heavy otherwise :3 But I paint them with this metallic gold paint that makes them look like metal.

Cute. And we're all painfully aware of materials costs. It's such a catch, if you don't practice and improve you won't make money, but if you don't have money for supplies you can't practice and improve...

Nicely done. While it's not my personal style, I have an outside appreciation for steampunk fashion. Personally, I'm more a fan of the cyverpunk side of the coin. ^_^

Out of curiosity, what materials do you use to make goggles? Especially if you can sell them for $40? I've rarely seen anything sold for under $75 and that's just for really basic stuff.

My prices are very very low. Honestly, I should sell them for more, but I want to try and give people a chance to get at least the first few for as cheap as I can manage.

I use Goggles which I get online for about $12, and then I use a gold metallic paint you can get at Hobby lobby for about $10, and then the Sealer which is $8. The cloth/leather like bits I got for about $10 a yard (but it doesn't use a whole lot for this). The little things, like the owls and the chain are things I get off of Etsy and vary in price- but usually all together costs about $5-15.
And then you add in labor work and the fact that they are hand made and all that good stuff- I would say they are getting it for a really good price. I am honestly going to up the price as soon as one or two sell and I have more examples

Can you please link me were you usually get the goggles you start with? Because I'm looking for cosplay goggles that are slightly different than this, so I would probably end up changing them anyways. :3
