Description
A painting I did for Laika to comemorate the 51 years since she was sent up into space and died. Sorry for the poor quality, it's a photograph coz the painting is huge.Related content

They want to send them for some lab for cancer research because apparently elephants don't get cancer.

If they sent them to an actual elephant sanctuary (I think there's one in Tennessee) and maybe the veterinarian could take some extra blood samples and send those to some lab that studies cancer I guess that'd be okay. But Ringling Bros doesn't even plan to send them to a sanctuary. Β But elephants are elephants and humans are humans. Using animals to study human diseases rarely works out because animals and humans are different.Β

I once saw a video where a girl was in vet school, BRAGGING about being able to reach up a cow's butt (it's done for a variety of reasons, such as checking a baby or helping a constipated cow). I said something about how she should reach up her own butt and and look for her head.Β
