lol you know these sketches of mine don't have that much in common with the movie 'story-wise'. Those are... fan-characters in a different timeline. But they're still based on the movie, alien design, etc.
Still, you should watch Super 8. It's an awesome movie.

What.
So.... Cooper returned to Earth, or did he ever get away from Earth at all? He spent a minimum of about 10 years away considering it would take 4.3 years to get to the nearest star and Cooper would need to refuel and nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, and surely he would like to see his family on his homeworld... This conundrum has caused me to expose my nerdiness! -_-

First of of all. Think of this as a fan-fiction-ish...thing. Thats why it's so confusing out of the context(or outside my head lol)
This particular situation is happening in around 2010. Which means 31 years AFTER the film. The alien is not Cooper - that's why he's 'asking' about what happened in 79'. The 'burger' guy is not Martin nor Charles.. they would be around 45, which in fact does make Joe - the sheriff (following in father's footsteps? lol) - one good looking 45-year-old XD (I fail at drawing human-age what can you do). So anyway, that makes the two (minus Joe) OCs, or fan-characters.
Oh, and actually there are particles that are able to travel faster than light ...so I see no problem in an advanced race being able to travel all around the galaxy in a reasonable amount of time (imma nerd too lol)

There are features of human face that make it look either young or old... sadly I suck at those since I'm not such a great artist. Calling a technique-fail 'anime' ....that, on the other hand, I find rather offensive. lols.
