My professor told me that this "ending" isn't too cheesy/cliche, but I still feel like it is... ahwell. Hope you guys enjoyed this~ <3And yeah, I just totally re-copied that one image ... see: beating a dead horse. =_=;;
Still, this was a lot of fun to do and gave me a lot of confidence in being able to do comics traditionally (cuz hooboy it's scary as hell), so I'm glad it was done!

This is one of the most beautiful things I've seen on dA in a long time. I love love love it, the ideas of cyclical death, an unavoidable fate, the possible interpretations of what the people represent - the art is so beautiful and so evocative and the prose is sparing but lovely. This relationship between them (the storyteller and the story???) is depicted so well, I'm not sure how you made it so violent and bloody but also so gentle and tender and sad. Thank you for creating this!!

This comic comes across as making more sense then the other ways you've had of telling this story that are in your gallery, but it's also the last I saw, so it might just make sense because I'm used to the concept now.

Hahahahah, yeah that's the problem, I feel like this story takes such a while to get used to and that different formats/pieces just illuminate more facets of this story that it's hard to settle on any one method to tell it...

I loved the repetition of them meeting up and the panels are simple and gorgeous.
It tells a lot about the characters in a short amount of time.

Hey, I haven't, but I looked it up--the one by Otsuichi, right? It definitely looks like something I'd love to read, I checked and my local library at home doesn't have it but the library system at school does so when I head back in a month I'll definitely check it out! It feels to me like the blonde has experienced a horrible trauma and can't handle it, so he believes he's a masochist. The brunette, who may or may not be a sexual sadist, is clearly uncomfortable with this kind of "play". This isn't the fun kind of s&m, this is real. This is mental anguish. This blonde kid is suffering deeply from internal wounds that the brunette is not trained to help with.

Cras is a very confusing story, but in the end it kind of boils down to being about storytelling and characters? They kind of spin through versions of themselves/the story being told (always a suicide, it seems), so it's less about... a linear narrative and more about characters throughout the narrative(s), if that makes sense...? It's less about actual physical trauma or conditions on either of them, and more a bit of a metaphysical metaphor/story about storytelling...?
