This is all embarrassingly old stuff (seriously, from end of 2016 till August 2017) but, uh, yeah, I realized it's been a solid year+ since I've done one of these and I wanted to. just. dump a bunch of stuff here!!!...In which you all learn that if I start a digital painting I'll never finish it, and I still just draw a lot of mopey Ians roflmao
I'd actually like to revisit the sketch of Sariel with her wings growing in though, hmmm that could be fun hehe B)
It feels a little dumb to be uploading some pretty old/crappy sketches, but to be honest it's become like a principle/ritual for me? It's actually pretty humbling looking through all of my sketchdumps to see how far I've come, haha.

I REEEALLY love your sketches (i said that, I know). But now I particularly enjoy the ones with a thousand lines, usually those scene composition that looks like a storyboard. I find them fascinating!
And wee, loved seeing Nezha! He was the one teaming up with Sun Wu Kung, right? ^^

I tend to fall in love with OCs that feel like they have a *real* story beneath them. You know, I see many artists just posting artworks and designs of their characters and it's become a rare thing to find someone whose characters feel... like actual *characters* instead of just some lovely designs.
And and and I'm also really happy that you started to draw the Iris comic, I'm looking forward to reading it!! o v o (Although I'll wait for more pages before reading it to get really drawn into it, sorry for that ; A ; )

Super-belated reply but THANK YOU SO MUCH for your words, they really mean a lot to me!! I totally know what you mean, I get really bored of seeing cool-looking characters posing in front of blank backgrounds or just pinup drawings hahahahaha, it's just really uninteresting to me! I'm always trying to ground my characters in scenes and moments... so it really, really means a lot to me to hear that from you!!
And hahahaha no worries I totally get how you feel, weekly updates for comics are good for the creators I feel but terrible for the audience!! I completely understand if you wanna wait 'till a lot of pages are out before reading it all in one go XD

YESH that's exactly what I mean!! Sometimes I even get the feeling that the characters repeat, because the designs feel... empty (without soul) to me and I start confusing them... But I don't have that problem with your characters so far (I don't know that much about them for now, but I hope that will change hehe) and that makes me really happy. You're very welcome <3
