I tried my hand at pixel art. Wanted to give my living room the look of a typical lucas arts graphic adventure. Later I added the characters and animation, with guest appearance by Laverne from "Day of the tentacle".
Since it was my first try, I made many errors in the process, for instance I used a greater color palette than 256 and had to reduce it later. But I learned a lot from that and will definitely do more pixel art.

Freut mich, dass es dir gefällt. Man kann sicherlich noch viel verbessern, gerade auch an der Animation, aber für den Moment bin ich ganz zufrieden damit.

wie für das erste Mal ist es einge ganz große Leistung. Verbesserungen sind ja in jeden Punkt möglich. Aber wow, richtig geil gemacht das muss man sagen.

i miss those ol' games.. the cartoony design and pixel work was so much more fun than modern 3D games that just can't compared...
even the new sam'n'max games are entirely tame and dull compared to the original whacky romp of hit the road.

I played some old graphic adventures again last month and got in the mood to give this a shot.
Learned to appreciate all the time and effort that was put in those backgrounds and animations. There's so much atmosphere in these games. And the stories and puzzles were fun!
